Di Ai is a Beijing-based public welfare organisation approved by the Civil Affairs Bureau of Xicheng District, and jointly runs public fundraising projects with the China Western Talent Development Foundation and the China Volunteer Service Foundation.
Founded in 2014 by medical professionals, patients, and family members, Di Ai has grown into a professional medical social work organisation serving cancer and serious illness patients across China. Its programmes span patient education, psychological support, welfare assistance, social resource referrals, and medical social work services, bridging the gap between doctors and patients and helping families navigate the challenges of serious illness with dignity. As of 2025, Di Ai operates more than 90 patient peer groups, serves over 20,000 families, and has accumulated experience across more than 40,000 group support sessions and 60,000 individual casework engagements.
